Part of your annual maintenance on your garoline powered tools should be cleaning or replacing the air filter. I’m as guilty as you are of not having the time to check the air filter. Don’t wait too long or the engine will not start easy, run right or run at all. If you wait way too long, your foam air filter will start to disintegrate and fowl the carburetor and spark plug.
I decided to refer to my owners manual so I could purchase the manufacturer’s OEM brand. And yes, I don’t necessarily read ther manual when I get something new, but I do keep them for reference in the future.
Check out my YouTube video on how I changed my air filter. It might encourage you to change yours too!
